He may only be at Rangers for a matter of weeks, but Sheyi Ojo is already drawing attention from Celtic supporters.
Steven Gerrard used his connections at Liverpool once again in order to bring the winger north of the border, and he is expected to be an important player in the upcoming campaign. The 22-year old has gone on out on a number of loan spells in the last few seasons, most recently to Reims in Ligue 1.
He certainly seems up for the challenge of Scottish football. Speaking this week, he labelled Rangers as the best team in Scotland, something they would prove this season (h/t Daily Record).
Towards the end of last season I watched some of the Scottish Premiership games and I’m really looking forward to it.
I think Rangers are the best team in the league. It’s just about proving that we’re the best team and doing really well this season.
The gaffer has told us just to focus on ourselves. The difference last season was nine points which proved we’re pretty close to Celtic.
It’s just about concentrating on us and then we’ll be able to make up those fine margins. I know we haven’t played Celtic yet and the league hasn’t started.
But for me coming here, I feel like Rangers are the best team.
With Celtic having won the last nine league titles on the spin, this is a bold move. As you can imagine, Hoops fans were having plenty of fun at this expense.
Yes of course and they’ve proved it over the last 8 years... https://t.co/rqTffHjXW6

I wonder if Barcelona fans have to read about Espanyols latest loan signing spouting shite about winning titles, increased capacitys, world class breakfasts or hover pitches from the local paper. Sooner everyone realises they’re the laughing stock of Scottish football the better!

Another arrogant clown from down south thinking he'll come up here and piss the league with a team of underachievers and limited ability. The Celtic players have read this guff every pre-season for the last three years. No wonder they've been motivated to win everything.

Last 8 titles would suggest otherwise

We already look forward to seeing some of the responses to this in May.
