Irish teenager Sam Curtis experienced a landmark moment in his career yesterday, with the youngster making his Premier League debut during Sheffield United's 1-0 loss to Everton.
The 18-year old would come off the bench for the final half hour of the clash at Goodison Park, making his first appearance in the English top flight just a few months on from his move from St Pat's.
A supremely talented right back, Curtis received plenty of praise for his performances during his relatively short time in the first team at Richmond Park. That led to a huge amount of interest from some big name overseas clubs, with the player ultimately opting to move to Sheffield United.
This Premier League appearance is likely to be the first of many for the player, although his manager was keen to give him a timely warning after the game.

Sheffield United boss sends warning to Irish youngster after EPL debut
While Ireland fans may be getting very excited about what is to come for Sam Curtis over the coming years, Chris Wilder will be keen to keep the player's feet on the ground.
Speaking after the game, the Sheffield United manager said that this game should serve as a warning to the teenager as to how much he still has to improve if he is to make the most of his career.
He got his chance.
I think he will look back at it and think, wow, it’s a different league, a different set-up, different pace to what he’s accustomed to.
It wasn’t by any means an accomplished debut but it’s given him a taste of what the Premier League is like, how physical it is, how quick it is.
He has to get up to speed if he wants to be part of everything going forward.
Considering the mentality he has displayed up to this point in his career, there will no worries about Sam Curtis getting carried away on the back of this appearance.
With Sheffield United set to return to the Championship over the coming months, it is likely that the Irishman will get quite a few opportunities to play next season. This experience should certainly stand to him moving forward.
