After showing some superb form in March, Accrington Stanley's Shay McCartan was today named League Two Player of the Month.
The 22-year-old scored six goals in seven appearances for Accrington last month.
His goals have helped the club to 12-game unbeaten run, staving off any thoughts of relegation as they now sit 13th in the division.

A cousin for former Down manager James McCartan, he played minor football for Down in 2011, scoring three goals in his side's Ulster Championship game against Armagh.
Prior to that, McCartan had won two Hogan Cups with St. Colman's Newry, beating this year's winners St. Brendan's Killarney in 2010 and St. Jarlath's Tuam in 2011.
McCartan agreed to sign for Burnley in 2010, making the move to England the following season. He played one league game for the club before moving onto Accrington Stanley in 2013.
The striker's ability from free kicks, in particular, has become a real weapon for Accrington Stanley.
