If you were born in the last twenty years, for the majority of your lifetime, Shay Given was the Ireland keeper. And a damn fine one at that.
The 41-year-old goalie was released by Stoke City over the summer. He made just eight appearances for the club in two years. A week after being released, he confirmed that he was still on the hunt for a new club, with no intention of retiring just yet. As well as mentioning how he fears being Irish may hurt his prospects of coaching at the top level.
The Donegal native had been linked with Championship clubs QPR and Leeds at various stages so far this window. However, nothing has materialised since the window opened on July 1st.
Alan Brazil is the host of the morning shows on TalkSport, and today he had none other Shay Given as his guest.
Brazil is doing his bit to help the former Ireland international get a new club. TalkSport put together a fantastic comedy appeal video, addressed to 'all football managers and chairmen''. Which Brazil played on air - while Given was in the room.
It is simply magnificent, and you can watch it below:
APPEAL! Shay Given is without a club but that won't be the case much longer when a manager or chairman sees this video... @No1shaygiven pic.twitter.com/satJ4BT3Nb

An office favourite is the 'I'm Shay Given' which is clearly not said by Shay Given.
Given of course retired from Ireland duty around this time last year. Darren Randolph now mans the goal line for the Boys in Green.
After that video though, it's only a matter of time before we see BREAKING NEWS: SHAY GIVEN HAS A NEW CLUB going across the Sky Sports ticker.
It's currently 1 month, 19 days, 9 hours and 49 minutes until the window closes. Not that we're counting or anything...
