Aston Villa's Shay Given could be on his way to another Premier League club when his loan with Middlesbrough expires at the end of this month.
Today's Irish Independent reports that Swansea manager Michael Laudrup is looking to bring the Donegalman on board in an emergency loan deal after news that first choice keeper Michel Vorm possibly facing an operation due to a knee injury.
Given has found a new lease of life while filling in at Middlesbrough but is unlikely to stay on after 27 December. The Indo says Given is on a three-man shortlist for Swansea and Laudrup said 'We will have to make a decision about surgery for Michel at some point.'
'We are not talking about a long-term absence but it may be something that just has to be done.'
