Deadline Day rarely disappoints. We all live for the media frenzy full of speculation, medicals, and last-minute deals.
This year there wasn't much action from the top teams - but we did see the likes of Everton, Newcastle, and Tottenham bring in some notable assets.
Sky Sports News is a Deadline Day staple and they seemed to hit the jackpot with their trio of analysts in Shay Given, Clinton Morrison, and Kris Boyd.
While the Sky presenters were mostly trying to paint the picture of a serious countdown, the former footballers had great camaraderie on air.
Given and Morrison would have been familiar with each other from the Republic of Ireland setup. But things got interesting when Boyd tried to make a Rangers joke.
Given Snubs Boyd
Boyd may have overlooked the fact that Shay Given was on the books at Celtic as a youngster and grew up in Donegal supporting the Glasgow club.
One of the biggest Deadline Day deals was Juventus and Welsh international Aaron Ramsey making his way to the Ibrox on loan until the end of the season.
Kris Boyd couldn't help but grin at the pickup made by his former club. But when he leaned over to get a reaction from Shay Given, Given was having none of it.

"Rangers Twitter in the last couple of minutes, one of those arty videos with the word 'ready' and the fistbump so we think it's imminent," Sky said of Ramsey's arrival.
Boyd then leaned over to give Given a fist bump but the former Republic of Ireland stalwart declined. He even hung his head in shame at the thoughts of it.
"Guy won't be quiet," Clinton Morrison said after the gesture. "Can we change seats?" Given added. The trio seemed to enjoy their time in the Sky Sports hot seats.
Bridge 🗣 "Sorry I can't see you the lights coming through from Boyd's teeth, from that grin from the Rangers news." 🤣

More Jibes
That wasn't all. There were plenty of other moments from Deadline Day and Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge decided to get in on the slagging.
"Sorry, I can't see you the lights coming through from Boyd's teeth," Bridge said. "From that grin from the Rangers news." "Go on Bridgey boy," Boyd responded.
Clinton Morrison was reacting to the news that his former club, Crystal Palace, had signed Jean-Philippe Mateta on a permanent deal.
"If Palace played Rangers, we'd beat them easily, so don't worry about it," Morrison said to Boyd. "They'd want to take at least five or six of our players."
