It could be the most famous hamster since the one reportedly devoured by Freddie Star all those years ago. Shay Given and Middlesbrough have been in smashing form recently, collecting 16 points from the last 18 and managing six clean sheets in the last 10 games.
However, while Middlesbrough recent form doesn't coincide somewhat with Given's arrival from Villa Park, he has modestly conferred all the praise for the recent run onto one Holly the Hamster, the pet of "one of the lads."
Holly has worked the oracle since she arrived and Middlesbrough are unbeaten in six games.
She came into the training ground over Christmas as a bit of a joke from one of the lads but we are unbeaten since so we’re all taking looking after her very seriously now. She’s got a nice home with us at the training ground and we’re making sure we feed and water her every day. She’s got an unbeaten record so far, so we’ll make sure she stays happy and keeps working her magic.’
