Shane Long's wife, Kayleah Long, took to Twitter to condemn the abuse her husband suffered at the hands of West Brom fans after the Hull City striker played his old side for the first time after controversially leaving the club in January.
Long was initially greeted well by Albion fans, but the affection turned to anger when they were convinced that the Tipperary man dived to win a penalty which resulted in Hull's first goal.
Long scored Hull's second and refused to celebrate, but it did not prevent West Brom fans from booing him for the rest of the game. Long insisted on Twitter that he did not dive for the penalty decision, as he got to his feet after being clipped and did not appeal for a foul.
I got clipped, no I didnt dive, yeah it was a soft and thats why i didnt claim for it. Anyway a big 3points for us.

Kayleah Long was extremely vocal on the site, lambasting various trolls and abusers, though she and her husband received a huge number of messages of support from Baggies fans.
