Shane Long has been ruled out of the first leg of Ireland's Euro 2016 playoff with Bosnia-Herzegovina on Friday.
Long hasn't played since sustaining an ankle injury during Ireland's final group game against Poland last month.
The FAI say that the Southampton striker is having treatment on the injury and has not yet been ruled out of the second leg at the Aviva Stadium on Monday.
Charlton keeper Stephen Henderson has been called up as a replacement Keiren Westwood while Brentford midfielder Alan Judge has been cleared to join the squad after receiving treatment for a hamstring injury.
