Brighton are currently 3-0 up against Crystal Palace, despite having Ireland defender Shane Duffy sent off for a needless headbutt on Patrick Van Aanholt.
The big defender squared up to the Dutch full back in the 26th minute and the pair were head to head before Duffy decided to push it a little too far, causing Aanholt to go down under clear view of the referee.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, Brighton were able to double their advantage through substitute Leon Balogun and then on the stroke of half time Florin Andone gave Chris Hughton's side a three goal cushion, leaving me to wonder whether Duffy's moment of rashness was in fact a stroke of genius.
