In Friday night's live TV Airtricity League game between Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians, we had a strong contender for worst refereeing decision of the season. Less than two weeks after Tom Connolly gave Pats a penalty in Drogheda for this, Neil Doyle awarded Shamrock Rovers a penalty for this to overtake him.
As RTE commentator on the night Brian Kerr said;
"It hit him in the mush!"
Watching League of Ireland players made their feelings known.
Shocking decision from Neil Doyle killed Bohs same old story with refs in this league joke

Others were a little stronger on Doyle.

The reaction may have been even stronger if all but Dundalk and Sligo Rovers had been in action.
