Shamrock Rovers retained their two-point advantage over 4th placed Waterford with a 5-0 defeat of Limerick in Tallaght on Saturday night.
In what quickly became something of a mismatch, the home side were a relentless attacking threat throughout.
Looking fairly assured of their win early on, Stephen Bradley's side demonstrated their confidence with some exceptionally well-executed moves. With the exception of Dylan Watts fortuitous goal for 3-0, the remaining scores are well worth watching.
For the opening effort, Ronan Finn struck from distance to give the Limerick 'keeper absolutely no chance. A quick corner dragged back to Greg Bolger on the edge of the box was finished with a tremendous curling effort for their second.
A glancing Roberto Lopes header put Shamrock Rovers 4-0 ahead at the half-way mark, before Finn struck once again to finish off a wonderful counter-attacking move.
You can watch all five of the goals, keeping an eye out for that innovative second, below.
