The deal ensures that Irish subscribers can continue to receive the full range of BT content with European football being a particular highlight of the new deal. Front and centre of that is BT's Champions League coverage of every match in the competition along with Europa League, FA Cup, Bundesliga and Serie A.

Also included in the package is BT's Premier League continued Premier League coverage which means that Irish subscribers will have 42 live Premier League games including 28 in the 5.30 p.m. Saturday evening slot.

Outside football, the deal ensures that 35 live European Champions Cup games, 69 Aviva Premiership games as well as the major UFC cards, including UFC 194, will all be available through the Setanta package.
