There were bizarre scenes at the Latin Grammy Awards last night as hit singer Shakira was presented with an award by former Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos for a song mocking her ex-partner and former Barcelona player Gerard Pique.
The track, Shakira: Bzrp Music Session, Vol 53, which is a collaboration with BzRP, won Song of the Year and Best Pop Song at the prestigious awards.
The song ridicules Pique, who was part of the Spanish squad that won the 2010 FIFA World Cup and 2012 Euros alongside Ramos.
The video for it has also become the most watched new Latin song in Youtube's history.

Ramos and Pique had a long-term rivalry at club level playing against each other in several fiery El Clasico's down the years.
Ramos, who now plays with Sevilla, was on stage as part of the presentation party for the awards.
Shakira and Pique announced their split in 2022 after eleven years together.
Pique later struck up a relationship with then 23-year-old Clara Chia.
In the track, the Colombian sings: "I'm worth two 22-year-olds" and "you swapped a Ferrari for a Twingo".
It is believed that a lot of her recent work fires digs at Pique.
Shakira has since moved from Barcelona to Miami with her children.
Speaking at the awards, she dedicated her victories to the Spanish public.
“I also want to share this with my Spanish public," she said.
“You have been there accompanying me through the good and the bad, in difficult moments.”
