He may have been a mainstay in our Fantasy Football teams for years now but it's amazing that Sergio Aguero has only made it into the PFA Premier League Team of the Year for the first time now, with this season's XI confirmed this morning.
Aguero is joined by Man City teammates Kyle Walker, Nicolas Otamendi, David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne in a team that includes no one outside of the top five clubs in the league. Manchester United's sole representative is David De Gea, while Tottenham Hotspur boast Jan Vertonghen, Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane. Chelsea's Marcos Alonso is at left back and there are no prizes for guessing which Liverpool player made the cut - it is, of course, Ragnar Klavan Mo Salah.
Spare a thought for Leroy Sane, who is shortlisted for the PFA Player of the Year but hasn't even made the team. He will be fighting it out with Harry Kane, Mo Salah, David De Gea, Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva for the gong.
From an Irish perspective, we haven't had player in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year since Seamus Coleman in 2014. You can check out every Irishman to ever make the team here.
