Seani Maguire scored his first goal of the season as his Preston side beat Norwich 3-1 in the Championship on Wednesday.
Maguire's goal - scored in the 69th minute - put Preston 3-0 ahead against a Norwich side which went into last night's game as league leaders.
It came after fellow Ireland international Alan Browne's superb volley crashed off the crossbar and fell to the 24-year-old striker in the box. Maguire smashed the ball to the net just as Norwich keeper Tim Krul got settled on his line.
The game was Maguire's eighth start of what has been a season badly interrupted by injury.
His last goal for Preston, previous to last night, was scored back in April against Leeds.
