It looks like Sean St Ledger is back in employment again. The great white knight for Irish internationals whose club careers have been flagging has come to rescue. Very strong rumours are emanating that Mick McCarthy is set to pick him up before the emergency loan window shuts tomorrow.
St Ledger played a trial game for the Ipswich Town U21's on Monday and papers in East Anglia are now reporting that he is set to sign in January. St Ledger tweeted his delight and relief at getting the chance to pull on the Ipswich shirt on Monday night.
So after all the rumours over the years I put on a ipswich town shirt tonight! felt good!!

St Ledger's inability to find a club mystified many Irish supporters who remember him as a good servant to the cause the the scorer of Ireland's only goal in Euro 2012. Rumours that John Still had a look at him but said he wouldn't be good enough for League 2 turned out to be false.
According to reports in Ipswich, Sean St Ledger will join Ipswich Town until the start of January to provide cover.
