Roberto Martinez's Frankly Useless Assessment Of Seamus Coleman's Injury

Roberto Martinez has been no help at all to Irish fans, after he shite'd on about Everton's squad depth when asked of the severity of the Seamus Coleman hamstring injury which saw him limp off towards to the end of their win over Chelsea.

Martinez told reporters:

We'll have to assess Seamus and Mo [Bosic] and see how they are.

But the important thing was that everyone who had to be alert and come on to the pitch was fully focused and I think the strength in the squad is starting to show now.

Having those numbers helps you be consistent over the course of the season and clearly it showed today.

Yes yes, I know there's no way to know just how serious the Coleman injury is at such an early stage but I want more worry from Martinez. I want him up at night saying Novenas, I don't want him bloody happy with the depth of his squad. No matter how well he plays, Tony Hibbert ain't going to be lining out for Ireland next month.

There comes a time when Martinez has to realise that the needs of a nation outweigh the needs of a club.*
