Everton's misery continues: they've won just one of their last 23 away games and lie five points clear of the relegation zone following a pitiful 2-1 defeat to Burnley at Turf Moor.

Having taken the lead through Cenuk Tosun (a goal set up by Seamus Coleman), Everton conceded twice in the second-half against a side that hadn't won a game since the beginning of December. Their misery was compounded when captain Ashley Williams was sent off in the final quarter, shown a straight red card for swinging an elbow at the face of Ashley Barnes. He will now miss the next three games. It ended a miserable performance which has been profiled here.

As Williams languished in the dressing room, Seamus Coleman fronted up on the occasion of his 250th Everton appearance. He faced the Sky cameras after the game, in which he admitted that it "wasn't good enough" that Everton "crumbled" having led 1-0. Coleman also called on his teammates to show more "desire" in future games.

Coleman offered a stark contrast of leadership and attitude, which led many Everton fans to ponder the same thought.
