The Scrappiest Goal Of All-Time In The 99th Minute Sparked A Mini-Riot In Argentina

Firstly, have a look at this absolutely ridiculous goal scored in the 99th (yes, the ninety-ninth minute) to give Argentinian title-chasers Lanus a 3-2 win over Arsenal.

And no, that wasn't a glitchy goal from FIFA 15, that was a real goal.

Now, if that was a video game you would simply turn the console off or throw the controller at the wall, but as it was a winning goal in a crucial match in terms of title aspirations, as the losing team you would just have to curse your luck, right?

Wrong. You see, as the match entered stoppage time Lanus were trailing 1-2, and there were five minutes of added time signalled. Lanus equalised in the 96th minute after the referee decided to add an extra bonus minute for the craic, and the Arsenal players and coaching staff were less than thrilled. In fact, the Arsenal players complained for a good three minutes before the game restarted, when the ref decided to add ANOTHER minute of additional time, in which Lanus scored that absolute clusterfuck of a goal, and the Arsenal players and coaches lost the plot, as you can see from this video:

So for those keeping score at home, that was five minutes signalled, six minutes played, goal, three minutes of complaining, a further minute of added time played, goal, riot.
