We feel partly responsible for this. Yesterday we directed everyone's attention to the Scottish Daily Record's football writer Keith Jackson and his rather dismissive attitude to the Irish team (of course, Scottish Daily Record readers in this country may have seen it already though we're not sure how numerous they are).
This seemed to spark an orgy of activity on Keith's Twitter. The top commenter underneath the facebook post on the story was one John Cassidy, who made a solemn vow (if that's not putting it too strongly) to go away and annoy the hell out of Jackson on Twitter. And he was as good as his word.
It turns out Jackson is a good natured sort, and he took his ribbing from the Irish supporters in good part - though he did note that we seem to be a 'sensitive' people. Anyway, Cassidy drew him into a back-and-forth on Twitter and goaded him into a promise he cannot now back out of.
Don't worry lads. For what it's worth, we reckon it'll be a draw.
