There's no getting around the fact that Ireland are not in the Euros, and that the competition would be a better place for everyone if they were.

Memories from 2016 come flooding back as it seemed like a new video went viral every day of Irish fans in France having the time of their lives, and spreading the craic everywhere they went.

Thankfully though, Scotland did qualify, and if any country can embody the spirit of the Irish, then it's our Highland cousins, as they have taken over Germany, and are having a great time while doing it.

Videos of fans in kilts playing the bagpipes and drinking every version of German beer possible have been circulating social media, but we have picked out some of the funniest, wildest, and most explicit ones doing the rounds.

Warning: Some of these clips contain nudity, bad language, and contagiously catchy songs.

Ever wondered what goes on under a kilt?

Remember the famous Sky Sports clip on transfer deadline day, when the poor reporter had to try and speak to the camera, while fans were behind him waving, erm - let's say 'toys' in his face?

Well, this one goes one further and reveals the real thing to the poor newscaster, and if you ever wondered what goes on under a kilt, well, we have your answer here.

The 'Hand of God' has a hymn and it's brilliant

Let's be honest, the Irish and Scottish haven't exactly got a footballing history littered with glory and triumphs, but thankfully, thanks to our shared interest in defeating the English, we can bask in other countries' glory.

Diego Maradona became a God in in Argentina when he led his nation to the World Cup in 1986, but when he single-handedly (pun intended) knocked the English out of the tournament, well that's something everyone could celebrate.

Almost 40 years later, and these Scotland fans are still celebrating, and with a tune as catchy as this, you can see why.

So committed are the Scottish to enjoying themselves and creating the best atmosphere possible, they even put themselves at risk of being hurt.

During a rather passionate ensemble with the fans in full voice, one bagpipe player was swept off his feet.

Thankfully he's not injured, and should be fit in time for Scotland's opening game against Germany tonight.

If you can stay on your feet, the bagpipe is actually very good

Falling over mid-song isn't customary for bagpipe players, and this young man really showed Germany, and the rest of the watching world, how you do it.

Although Germany have size, history and home advantage, they have been rather poor since winning the World Cup back in 2014, and with Scotland in high spirits, what better team to kick off the tournament and maybe even pull off an upset?
