The traditional Christmas derby season in Scotland was a bit of a let down for the most part. Hearts and Hibs played out a drab 0-0 last Wednesday, and Celtic and Rangers followed suit on Saturday. But they weren't the only Scottish derbies played over the last week.
The Renfrewshire Derby, the Clasico of the central Lowlands of Scotland, is a fixture that goes back to 1882. Greenock Morton and St. Mirren renewed rivalries yesterday afternoon, playing out a 1-1 draw at Cappielow.
With the away team 1-o up, full-back Stelios Demetriou went to take a throw-in in front of the hostile home fans and was struck on the back by a Bounty bar.
Not a bother to Stelios, who picked up the chocolate, unwrapped it, and took a bite before getting on with the game. Brilliant.
