Celtic flirted with the now-unthinkable at home to Saint Mirren earlier today: domestic defeat. Rodgers' side are gunning for a domestic treble, with the League Cup secured and the league more or less over, the competition in which the stakes are greatest is the Scottish Cup. Those stakes were raised higher at half-time today, as St Mirren led through a Harry Davis goal.
Celtic, however, got their act together in the second half, and goals from Mikael Lustig, Scott Sinclair, Moussa Dembele, and Leigh Griffiths ensured safe passage to the semi-finals.
Moussa Dembele is usually the player who beguiles Celtic matches with moments of precocious individual skill, but this time, that mantle swung toScott Sinclair, who curled home this delightful finish.
Superb.
