After returning from 18 months out with knee injuries earlier this year, Scott Hogan has looked electric for Brentford.
In 26 appearances since his March return, he's scored 18 goals. 11 of those have come this season. He's the Championship's joint second highest scorer.
His ability to find the net was always going to generate interest in January. According to the Scottish Sun, some of that interest comes from Brentford's fellow Championship side Norwich.
The fee quoted is £8 million.
Going into the season, Norwich were one of the favourites for promotion. A good start to the season has turned bad since October. Alex Neil's side are on a run of seven games without a win. That run includes five losses in the league. They could certainly benefit from the acquisition of Hogan.
From an Irish perspective - should he choose to pull on the green shirt - the striker pitching up at Norwich could certainly be beneficial. Developing an understanding with Wes Hoolahan and Robbie Brady would be advantageous for Ireland.
