What a few months it has been for Scott Hogan.
From ending last season on a scoring run for Brentford that attracted the attentions of Roy Keane and Martin O'Neill for Ireland, to jumping to the top of the Championship scoring charts with his hat-trick last weekend - Hogan's star is on the rise.
Still only 24, the as yet uncapped Salford-born striker has made a stunning comeback from a second knee ligament problem - scoring 13 goals in his last 15 games.
Daniel McDonell is reporting that Hogan is now a target for Swansea, after being linked with champions Leicester in the summer. Should he move, he would be competing with Spaniards Fernando Llorente and Borja Baston for game-time.
Hogan, who lists Roy Keane amongst his heroes, had been expected to be in Martin O'Neill's squad for last month's Oman friendly - but the clamour has already started to see him involved in next month's squad for the games against Georgia and Moldova.
