It's not that long since Scott Hogan started playing football regularly again. He made his comeback from two cruciate ligament injuries - which kept him out of action for 18 months - earlier this year.
In the 16 appearances he has made since, the Ireland eligible striker has scored a remarkable 13 goals. Seven of those came at the end of last season. He's got six in nine games so far this season. There is a sense that much more is to come from the 24-year-old.
He joined Brentford from Rochdale in summer 2014 for £750,000. His prolific form had led to speculation of a move up the English football ladder. Leicester and just yesterday Swansea have been linked.
According to west London journalist Tom Moore, a regular watcher of Brentford, if a Premier League move does happen, it will more than likely be this summer. He believes that in the current market, Hogan could command a fee of £12 million.
Maybe in January but more than likely the summer. I'd put him well over £10 million in this market - probably £12 million. If he continues scoring goals and Jonathan Kodjia - who I don't particularly rate that highly - cost Aston Villa (from Bristol City) a fee rising to £15 million, I think Hogan's worth a similar amount.
Moore sees Hogan as having all the qualities required to become a 'top' Premier League striker.
I think he could be top Premier League striker. To put it in simplest terms, he's got all the attributes. He knows exactly where the goal is. He can do nothing all day and then bury it.
He plays kind of offside, so it gives defenders a nightmare all day. When he gets it in a decent position, he more than likely will get it on target and often score.
When he gets chances, he's got a 50% conversion rate.
Prior to the Euros, Hogan's exploits late in the season caught the eye. It led to speculation that he may get a call up for the Irish team - both of his grandparents are Irish.
A big Man Utd fan, Hogan said the chance to work would Roy Keane was an attractive possibility. Though now a little coy regarding international football, Moore feels that if Martin O'Neill gave him a ring, Hogan would find it hard to say no.
Whenever I've asked him about it. He always sort of plays it down, he says 'International football would be great, but I've only been playing since April regularly, so it's a bit early.' That's the view he's got.
Put it this way: if a call came, I doubt he'd say no.
