The Saudi Arabian Football Federation have issued a statement to reassure the public that their team is safe after the technical failure of an airplane engine while they were travelling during the World Cup.
Saudi Arabia lost 5-0 on the opening day of the World Cup and they are set to face Uruguay in their next Group A tie at the Rostov Arena. It was while traveling for that match that the incident occurred but the football federation confirmed the team has landed and "they’re heading to their residence safely."

Reports emerged online that the plane had caught fire during the flight, which resulted in the concern for those aboard.
The Russian Airlines Airbus has now landed and everyone is safe. Their next game will take place this Wednesday.
