Santiago Solari's reign at Real Madrid has gotten off to a relatively positive start with the only black spot Los Blancos 3-0 defeat at the hands of Eibar.
Predictably however, the dissenting voices have already started to rear their head in the Madrid dressing room in the form of Spanish midfielder Isco.
The 26-year-old was dropped by Solari for his side's 2-0 win away to Roma last night, with the coach claiming he had left Isco out for 'sporting reasons':
Starting or being benched is a fictitious problem, it doesn’t exist.
That’s how I felt when I played. One has to be at 100% so that you can be selected.
There are the right decisions for the right moments.
These decisions are almost always sporting decisions except in exceptions cases and this is not one of those.
This is contrary to reports that emerged today from Marca and Cope who both allege that the real reason for Isco's snub is because the player refused to shake Solari's hand in the dressing room following the defeat a Eibar. Isco came on as a substitute in that game in the 63rd minute but failed to make an impact as Solari presided over his first loss at the club.
The reports also allege that Isco's lack of intensity in training is partly to blame for the player's lack of minutes under Solari.
With the January transfer window just around the corner and Isco currently out in the cold, there are reports linking him with a move to Chelsea with uncertainty around the future of Eden Hazard.
