Ten-man Manchester United beat West Ham 2-1 at Old Trafford today. They were far from sublime and had a stroke of good fortune when a Kevin Nolan header was ruled out for offside.
The assistant referee's decision to raise his flag provoked the following comment from Irons boss Sam Allardyce in his post-match press conference:
"He's dropped a massive bollock"
'Dropped a massive bollock' says Allardyce re assistant

Allardyce should have stuck to blaming players really. If Nolan's head was offside, that makes him offside. It's as simple as that.

Allardyce was informed Nolan's head was offside. "If he can see his head is offside, he is a a super linesman, a super human being."

Probably an ill-advised choice of words, but hey, we doubt he gives a shite.
