This may be the least surprising piece of news of all time. Sam Allardyce has a certain public persona, and he rarely sways from it. Brash, old school, and uncompromising, the former England boss does not really give much credence to the ways of the modern world.
While we knew little of his political views, you could hazard a guess as to what side of the political spectrum he falls on. After Neil Warnock's comments on Brexit last month, it was only a matter of time before Big Sam gave his two cents on the whole situation.
He was speaking on talkSPORT this morning when the issue arose. Unsurprisingly, he is not a fan of the way Britain have handled their exit from the European Union. Perhaps even less surprising, he is a big fan of Donald Trump. Who would have thought it?
🇺🇸 "Trump's done more for America than we could ever imagine!"
🇬🇧 "We're in a complete and utter mess!"
😡 "We look so stupid at a political level and it's just embarrassing!"

He’s done more for America than we can ever imagine. He’s turned their economy around, their economy is booming and we’re just making a complete and utter mess.
We’re looking so stupid at the political level, it’s embarrassing, it’s globally embarrassment what we’re doing with Brexit...
He’s a businessman isn’t he, he knows when the time is right to get the deal done or not.
Great to see Sam is so clued in with the current state of the American economy. He has been out of work ever since leaving Everton at the end of last season, and has shown a reluctance to throw his hat into the ring for another job.
He remains open to offers from Premier League clubs, but has yet to be enticed back into the English top flight. For now, he remains happy to remain in his villa in Spain, sipping on pints of wine and pondering the current state of the British economy.
The least surprising part of these Big Sam revelations being reported, is that he appears to drink white wine by the pint.
