We're not ones to revel in the misery of fellow football fans, but Arsenal fan and sportswriter Alan Alger has produced a mind-boggling statistic about the Gunners' recent dominance in their North London rivalry with Tottenham which has caused quite the stir.
If you bet a Tottenham fan £20 in 1995 that Arsenal will finish above them. Then did double or quits, tonight he'd owe you £10,485,760 #AFC.

Initially sceptical, we took to our calculators. After hours of blood, sweat, tears and deliberating, we discovered it to be true. Alger, however, jumped the Gunner when it came to putting his money where his mouth was 21 years ago:
@GeoffArsenal I'm a jinx as I worked in a place in 94 and the doorman bet me £20, and we lost that year, last time we did.

Yes, the last time Tottenham finished above their bitter rivals was in 1994, perhaps best known for it being Anders Limpar's final season at Highbury.
It has sparked an annual celebration for Arsenal fans, known as 'Saint Totteringham's Day'- the day each season where Arsenal are mathematically guaranteed to finish ahead of Spurs in the Premier League table.
And following Arsenal's 3-1 victory at Hull last night, Gooners broke out the champagne tweets.

They'll celebrate anything, those boys.
