Saido Berahino was once seen as one of the rising stars of English football, but his career has fallen off a cliff in recent years.
After showing plenty of promise at West Brom, his move to Stoke saw him become a bit of a laughing stock. Many wondered where it had all gone wrong, and we have rarely seen a player experience such a dramatic drop off in form.
Judging by the comments of his former teammate Glen Johnson, the player has nobody to blame but himself.
Speaking on talkSPORT, the ex-Liverpool man described how Berahino just acted like an absolute tosser during his time at Stoke, something that quickly got on the nerves of his teammates.
“He had the wrong mentality, the wrong attitude from day one.” 😡
“He was always going against the grain. It was like he had a vendetta.”
“It was every day. I didn’t like him.” 🔥

He had the wrong mentality and the wrong attitude from day one... He was always going against the grain. If we were told to be there at 10, he would be there at 10.10. If were told to wear this, he would deliberately wear something different.
It was almost like he had a vendetta against them from the start...
After a match, if you're on the bench or not in the squad, you'd have to run after the game... everyone did it, and Saido would jog.
We were supposed to be off the following Sunday, but because Saido didn't run afterwards everyone had to come in on that day, even the players who played the game.
Then what happened Sunday morning? Saido called in sick, he doesn't even show up...
If I was the manager or owner of a club, you couldn't pay me to play him.
Well, that was hardly a glowing endorsement. It had been rumoured that Berahino had major attitude problems, but this is well beyond what you would expect from a professional footballer.
At 26-years old, his career already seems as a good as over.
