Bemoaning the demands of the UEFA Nations League in light of a busy club calendar, Jurgen Klopp will scarcely be pleased to hear of a Sadio Mane injury sustained during the international break.
Not quite the fault of the Nations League, the Senegal international reportedly injured his hand during a training session.
According to Mootaz Chehade, a journalist with the Spanish news outlet VAVEL, Mane broke his left thumb during training, and is now expected to miss Senegal's game against Sudan, and Liverpool's Premier League clash against Huddersfield.

Releasing photographs of Mane with what presumably may be his doctor, Chehade also provided an apparent photograph of an x-ray detailing the Liverpool man's injured thumb.
Adding to Klopp's woes, this Sadio Mane injury comes after Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah appeared to suffer knocks during their spells with the Netherlands and Egypt respectively.
Although the full extent of Mane's injury is not yet known, it does appear that he required heavy bandaging after being treated in hospital.
