If you've been following the Championship at all this season then you've surely heard about Fulham's 16 year-old sensation Ryan Sessegnon.
If not, the London-born England U19 international is tipped as one of the brightest prospects in English football and bagged two goals against league leaders Newcastle United last week.
That performance was seemingly enough for Liverpool to pull the trigger and snap him up, as reports have emerged today that a deal for him to join the club in the summer has been agreed.
Reports emanating from Football.London have since been amplified by YahooSport, and suggest that Arsenal, who were favourites to land the youngster, have missed out.
Arsenal look to have lost out in the race to sign Fulham whizzkid Ryan Sessegnon.
The Gunners are one of several top clubs in England keeping tabs on the 16-year-old sensation, who has made 23 appearances this season for the Championship club.
Chelsea and Spurs are also interested, but football.london understands that Sessegnon is on his way to Liverpool this summer.
The Anfield outfit are confident that they have landed the attacking left full-back, who scored twice last weekend as Fulham stunned Newcastle 3-1 at St James’ Park.
Sessegnon, who came close to signing for Arsenal last summer, has been with Fulham since the age of nine.
It would be an exciting signing for Liverpool fans, as while he may not be ready for first-team football at a club the size of Liverpool just yet, he actually isn't that far off as despite being 16 years-of-age, many believe him to be one of Fulham's best players this season, if not the best.
Obligatory YouTube highlights:
Left-back is a problem position for Jurgen Klopp, as despite James Milner's solid work since being asked to cover in the position, it's clear that a proper left-back signing is needed.
That said, it is believed that Sessegnon's attacking qualities will see him pushed higher up the pitch as he matures, so that need must still be addressed.
