Ryan Babel's comments on women and football on twitter last night succeeded in making Andy Gray sound like the head of the national women's council.
When a female tweeter asked him why he hated Rafa Benitez so much, he responded by saying she should concentrate on growing some tits and forget about debating football.
He then sought to justify these remarks with a faintly deranged rant, at the end of which he bizarrely posted his Skype number.
After shipping a truckload of abuse, he apologised via snapchat.
Very few people have seen this apology. Snapchat isn't exactly a televised press conference. By all accounts, the apology wasn't without its qualifications. He said that he should have expressed his opinion differently. Though, the offending opinion, that women can't understand men's football, remains apparently intact.
It has, however, been accepted by Marie-Ann, a woman who promises her followers she will fill their lives with endless sexual frustration. Babel gratefully retweeted her acceptance of his apology.
Just Seen the @Ryanbabel vid.. Apology accepted ??.
