Moscow took the lead with a little less than 15 minutes remaining through Igor Denisov and then doubled their advantage thanks to Aleksei Miranchuk in the 90 minute.

With the game two-and-a-half minutes into injury time and Moscow again on the attack, a fight broke out on the edge of the Ural box with the referee right in the middle.

Eventually, Ural's Artem Fidler and Edgar Manucharian and Lokomotiv's Jefferson Farfan and Ari would all be shown red cards after players and staff from both teams entered the pitch as the game descended into chaos.
