In the final minutes of their final World Cup qualifier on Tuesday, Russia - having just conceded to make the score 1-1 - decided not to take any risks against 10-man Azerbaijan and proceeded to pass the ball around at the back to run down the clock (Russia only needed a point to qualify automatically ahead of Portugal).
It was a ridiculous passage of play, reminiscent of The Simpsons' classic parody of soccer. Inevitably/brilliantly, the two clips have now been mashed together.
