Russell Crowe is a well known Leeds United fan, it's not something he hides as you could easily see from his multiple tweets during Leeds games and his constant flirting with the idea of ownership, but today that flirting turned to full on courtship.
Crowe took to twitter to passionately explain his thinking behind the possibility of owning Leeds in detail, and called on fans of the club to stand up and be counted if they want to see a change in how the club is run.
It came out of nowhere, but 10 tweets later we had ourselves a twitter rant for the ages.

Leeds United fans would probably wish for just a normal owner, and not a celebrity or someone with a "name" and a reputation, but Crowe would bring a media focus on the club and could perhaps kick off enough of a buzz to attract the type of players needed to get the club back into the Premier League.
He did with the South Sydney Rabbitohs after all.
