Reports are emerging in Italy today of serious interest in AC Milan striker and Italian international Mario Balotelli. Balotelli came on as a second half substitute in Milan's loss to Liverpool in the International Champions Cup last night and rumours began to surface of Liverpool's interest in the former Manchester City striker after Brendan Rodgers was effusive in his praise of him before the game.
Now Sport Mediaset in Italy claim that Milan are willing to listen to offers for Balotelli for as little as £14m and that talks have started between Liverpool and Milan. Balotelli's agent has already been quoted as saying he made a mistake in bringing him back to Italy.
Can anyone anywhere think of a better replacement for Luis Suarez in terms of box office appeal than Super Mario?
