Ruben Amorim was left exasperated on Sunday afternoon, as his Manchester United side collapsed to another limp home defeat at the hands of Brighton.
After a dire first six weeks in charge, Amorim's side appeared to be moving slowly in the right direction with back-to-back results against Liverpool and Arsenal and a nervy comeback win over the league's whipping boys Southampton.
Any optimism was eliminated in an instant on Sunday as Brighton cruised to their third successive league victory at Old Trafford. The nature of the victory, with more individual errors to blame for the Seagulls' three goals, and Bruno Fernandes' penalty goal the only shot on target mustered by the hosts.
Reports this Tuesday have now laid bare the fury that met the United side from their head coach at the final whistle.

Reports emerge of furious Ruben Amorim rant after defeat to Brighton
Laurie Whitwell of The Athletic reported on Tuesday afternoon that such was the anger of Ruben Amorim at full-time of Sunday's defeat to Brighton that he damaged a flat-screen TV in the home dressing room at Old Trafford.
The big screen TV in Manchester United's dressing room is used for analysing tactics, and multiple sources told The Athletic that it will require repair ahead of the visit of Rangers in the Europa League on Thursday.
It was a rare show of emotion from Amorim, who has generally preferred to save his intensive reflection on any given result until the day after a game. The inept performance of his team on Sunday evidently had his frustrations bubbling over in a manner rarely seen in his career thus far.
The "shock" culture introduced by Portuguese coach Amorim has brought mixed results in the two months since he took charge of his first game as United manager. Evidently, he saw another shock as being required after the defeat to Brighton.
He also made his feelings clear in his public press conference, with Amorim labelling his team as potentially the worst in Manchester United's history.
"We are being the worst team maybe in the history of Manchester United," said Amorim after the 7th defeat of his tenure thus far.
"I know that you want headlines, but I'm saying that because we have to acknowledge that and to change that. Here you go, your headlines."
He will have to work hard to pick up his players if they are to get a result on Thursday night against Rangers at Old Trafford.
