RTE have unveiled their punditry team for this year's World Cup. In addition to the usual faces, sitting in the RTE studio this summer will be Brad Freidel, Neil Lennon and the intriguing figure of Real Madrid coach Paul Clement, who formerly worked with Don Givens as part of the Ireland U21 management.

The mainstays are all still around for what may be their final World Cup as 'the panel.' For the eighth World Cup in succession, Gilesy and Dunphy are bouncing around the grounds of Donnybrook for this photoshoot (although they may not have done this when Giles began his RTE career back in 1986) while Liam Brady has been doing this since the late 90s.

Ronnie Whelan, Kenny Cunningham and Richie Sadlier, and Didi Hamman (who missed a penalty against one of our writers on the roof of a hotel in Dublin a while ago. Read about that momentous event here.) are also part of the team.

And, Ossie Ardiles, he of the delightfully rhythmic yet slightly incomprehensible voice, will also be sitting down with Bill this summer.

Co-commentators are Ray Houghton, Jim Beglin, Trevor Steven, and Roddy Collins' biggest fan Brian Kerr,.
