Roy Keane will continue his role as an analyst with ITV according to Des Lynam (himself a former ITV presenter) in his Telegraph column.

I think O’Neill’s appointment as manager of the Republic of Ireland is a masterstroke and I expect him to do well.

His pairing with Roy Keane as his assistant is a dream for the media too. I am told that Keane will continue broadcasting with ITV, international commitments permitting. That is good news for viewers. I would miss the look of fear in the eyes of Adrian Chiles when he pops a question to him.

Reports during the week suggested that Keane will earn around €500,000 a year plus bonuses in his role as Ireland assistant manager to Martin O'Neill.
