Well that didn’t take long, less than half an hour into ITV’s coverage of Ireland vs England Roy Keane was firing shots at the FAI again.
Speaking about Ireland’s prospects ahead of the upcoming Nations league campaign, Keane explained how Ireland need to revert back to a more direct style of play and become harder to beat, while he wished new boss Heimir Hallgrímsson the best of luck, Keane couldn’t resist having a pop at the FAI for the length of time their decision making took.
"There’s a lot of good people in the FAI but the people who are making the decisions probably couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery"
Leaving presenter Mark Pougatch and fellow pundit Ian Wright in hysterical laughter, Pougatch replied "that’s one way to put it!"

Roy Keane and his interest in the Ireland job
Keane, of course, was linked with the Irish vacancy back in the winter and reportedly was interviewed for the role.
Just three months ago speaking on Gary Neville’s Stick To Football show, Keane his interest in taking on a job in international football.
“I liked the dynamics and the flow of international football. It wasn’t 24 hours a day, but still working at a high level.
Lots of people and clubs I have spoken to over the years are just wasting your time. It’s a bit of PR, they are ticking a few boxes, and they want to link you with the job.
“You meet people and as soon as you sit down, they start talking about numbers and you're like, ‘Really? Come on’. I don’t mean with Ireland, I’m on about club jobs.
The Cork man was last involved with Ireland as assistant manager with Martin O’Neill from 2013-2018, Helping his country to the round of 16 of Euro 2016.
As he admitted himself, he's unlikely to ever be Ireland manager, and the comments today won't help things.
