Roy Keane has given his first pubic comments on the appointment of Louis van Gaal as Manchester United manager. The Dutchman was confirmed as the new boss on Monday.
The Corkman gave Van Gaal his backing and says he hopes he gets more time in the hotseat than David Moyes' 10 months, a spell Keane still feels was harshly cut short.
Keane was linked last month with possibly becoming Van Gaal's assistant as United but later dismissed the rumours.
