Seamus Coleman broke an Everton record this afternoon, with the Donegal man becoming their all-time appearance leader in the Premier League after being included in the side for their game against Aston Villa.
The 34-year old is a club legend at Goodison Park. Since signing from Sligo Rovers for a fee of £60,000 back in 2009, he has gone on to become one of the most beloved players at the club in recent memory.
He has faced quite a bit of adversity in recent years, both on a personal and team level. Not only has he suffered some serious injuries, but he has also been in a team that has been teetering on the brink of relegation on more than one occasion.
Despite this, he has continued to excel and certainly deserves this latest honour.

Roy Keane tells story of row with Seamus Coleman
Seamus Coleman is one of the most fondly through of characters in top level football, with his teammates, coaches, and even opposition players having nothing but good things to say about the Irishman.
That includes Roy Keane, who spent quite a bit of time working with the defender during his stint as assistant manager of the Republic of Ireland.
Speaking on Sky Sports this afternoon, he paid tribute to Coleman and recalled how he became such a fan of the player during their spell working alongside each other.
"Seamus had a go at me once, he obviously regretted"

I can only speak very highly of him. He's a great character, the way he turns up everyday, the way he train properly, the way he speaks to people, the way he handles himself.
Obviously I worked with Seamus for a few years when I was working with Martin O'Neill with Ireland. I couldn't speak highly enough of him.
He's consistent, has had a lot of setbacks in his career with injuries etc, but he's a good solid lad. He's a nice bloke, someone you would want to go into the trenches with.
I had a few rows with Seamus, I know you find that hard to believe!
What I like about players, if I have a go at them and say they should be doing something, Seamus had a go back at me once. He obviously regretted it!
He had a go back and I like that. You talk about characters and he's a great lad, that doesn't mean he's not a winner and isn't up to the challenge. You don't play at that level with the injuries he has had unless you're a fighter.
Brilliant.
Seamus Coleman has been a remarkable servant for both Everton and Ireland over the years, with those words from Roy Keane showing just how highly rated he is among top professionals.
He may be coming towards the end of his career, but you get the sense that he still has a lot to offer at the highest level.
