Unexpectedly, the most annoying presence at the Stade de France on Sunday evening was not Pepe. Instead, it was an insane infestation of moths at the stadium. Apparently, someone left the lights on last night and what looked like thousands of moths invaded.
On ITV, Ryan Giggs told of playing during a pre-season game amidst the presence of some large moths - 'One of them tackled me'. Regarding tonight, Giggs felt the players would just have to 'get on with it'.
Roy Keane thought the same along with hoping the situation would have alleviated itself by kick-off. Keane also took the opportunity to have a little dig at his ex-Man Utd teammate.
From where did the moths originate? According to Keane, 'We thought Giggsy opened his wallet'.
At this point, Giggs thought Keane's own thriftiness deserved highlighting.
I lent him a Golf GTI for a week, well he said a week. Six months later, he's still got it.
It was an accusation the Ireland assistant manager did not deny.
There was a full tank when I gave it back.
