Roy Keane has been on fire during the World Cup so far, with the Corkman coming out strongly against the human rights abuses in Qatar, and also acquitting himself in scraps with his fellow pundits.
He was once again on punditry duty for ITV for Wednesday's game between Germany and Japan. Surprisingly, Keane continued his defence of ex-teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, despite the Portuguese's premature departure from Manchester United.
After his contentious remarks on Ronaldo, Keane would make a brilliant remark directed at Declan Rice and Jack Grealish.
Roy Keane: Irishman throws Grealish-Rice jab
Roy Keane and the ITV panel were discussing the brilliance of young German midfielder Jamal Musiala, as Die Mannschaft got their 2022 campaign underway against Japan on Wednesday.
Musiala, born to Nigerian and German parents, was raised for much of his childhood in London, and represented England at underage level. He made the decision, however, to declare for Germany at senior international level when the time came.
Since declaring for Germany, Musiala has become one of the brightest young talents in football, with he and Jude Bellingham the outstanding midfield prospects in Europe.
On ITV, the discussion leaned towards a "what might have been" discussion - of course, there is every chance that Bellingham and Musiala could have been lining up together in the English midfield for the years ahead.
Roy Keane was having none of the discussion, going in on two of England's other midfield talents:
It's good that England have been given a taste of their own medicine.
They took Rice and Grealish - don't get me started on that...
Keane is of course referring to Declan Rice and Jack Grealish, both of whom were eligible to play for Ireland but opted to declare for England at senior level.
Both represented the boys in green at underage level, while Rice even earned three senior caps for Ireland before switching to the English team, making him public enemy #1 among Irish fans.
We're sure plenty of Irish football supporters got a good chuckle out of Roy Keane's comments on Wednesday.
