Roy Keane has spoken of his regret at his involvement with the ITV documentary on him and Patrick Vieira that aired earlier this year. During the program, Keane was asked to select a Man United eleven of the best players he had played with and rather predictably, the Corkman selected those players that didn't exactly see eye to eye with Alex Ferguson. None of Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes made the side for example and the current Ireland assistant manager has a few regrets:
'I felt embarrassed leaving players out. I feel like I disrespected my teammates. And if you asked me to name my best XI now, well I wouldn't do it, first of all. But if I did, there'd probably be three or four changes.'
Of course, we'll never know now what those changes would be and the whole experience may have put Roy off of the montage, dramatic music, face off documentary genre forever. A loss for all sport.
