For a man who you'd imagine hates being in the headlines, Roy Keane bloody loves being in the headlines.

An updated version of Keane's recent autobiography 'The Second Half' goes on sale later this month, and yesterday saw some intriguing musings about both Tim Sherwood and Christian Benteke loitering somewhat ominously around the back pages.

Today, the Independent have released more Roy Keane quotes from the updated version of the book, the original of which which was well received on its release last year. Keane describes how he felt it was unfair on Martin O'Neill and Ireland that he was moonlighting at Villa Park, and didn't mince his words on what he perceived to be a lack of ambition at the Birmingham club:

"There seems to be the wrong attitude, 'We're not going to be challenging but we're probably good enough to stay up'. It's like drifting. It's a tired club, a tired brand."

He goes on to question the Villa players' perception of his own role at the club, saying:

"I think some of the players, even subconsciously, thought, 'We've a nice life here, we don't want you rocking the boat'. You'd be patting them on the back for putting their boots on and being on time - and half the time they weren't on time."

We don't imagine the likes of Tom Cleverley will have Keane's new chapters pre-ordered, but we certainly can't wait.

For what it's worth, he's not always so angry...
